Our Story

Harbour City Homes Pty Ltd was founded in 2000 by Director, John Condon.

Our focus and specialisation is in mid-to-high end, bespoke new homes, renovations, alterations and additions. The contracts we take on, generally, range in value from $200,000 through $1,500,000.

When undertaking a Project, we draw inspiration from our history in Project Management and tie it together with the highest quality workmanship and materials. Our systems have been developed over the years to give us precise control over each of our projects, yet retain the factor of flexibility to allow for changes and alterations to the original plan. 

Our History

Harbour City Homes traces it's roots back to founder and Managing Director, John Condon.

John gained his Qualification as a Carpenter in Christchurch, New Zealand and focussed on Residential works for the start of his working life. Developing his career, he then ventured in to the commercial space, working for mid and top-tier contractors on multi-story construction projects. His experience with these contractors gave him a unique insight, into not just carpentry, but the overall Project Management (Building) field.

In 1994 John and his family moved to Sydney in the hopes of greater job prospects. He was employed as a builder overseeing entire residential projects all the while drawing back to his Project Management experience in Christchurch, using that knowledge to get th best results possible for everyone involved in the project.

John was ultimately disappointed in the levels of professionalism and standards in management that he was working in, and so he founded Harbour City Homes.

Harbour City Homes was established in 2000, with the vision of becoming Sydney's most Professional and Reliable residential building contractor available for Bespoke home construction.
